The Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team (BbKRT) is ready for a second pre-season test at the Jerez circuit, Spain, which will take place tomorrow and Wednesday, marking another significant step in the development of its new World Championship project of Superbikes (WorldSBK) from 2025.
After an impressive public debut just two days after the end of the 2024 season, the full team is returning to Andalusia for a test session alongside some of its main 2025 rivals.
Riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, both eager to continue adapting to the new machine, will collaborate closely with their respective technical teams. This test will be crucial to refining the bike’s performance and ensuring the ambitious BbKRT project takes off in the best possible way when the season begins in February in Australia.
The first post-season tests, also carried out in Jerez, have already shown encouraging signs, with competitive lap times and positive feedback from the duo. The mission now is to solidify this progress, optimizing every detail before the official start of the competition.
This will be the last track test for the BbKRT in 2024, before a strategic break for the festivities. The team will return to action with two European tests in January 2025, a final opportunity to fine-tune the machines before shipping the equipment to Australia where the championship will begin.
