Jorge Prado will compete in the United States with Kawasaki in 2025, taking on the AMA Supercross, AMA Pro Motocross, and the SuperMotocross World Championship.
After securing two MXGP World Championships with Red Bull GasGas, the 23-year-old Spaniard has decided to shift gears in his career and cross the Atlantic. This move also marks the end of his long-standing relationship with KTM/Pierer Mobility.
Earlier this year, Prado got a taste of the American tracks, competing in the first four rounds of the AMA Supercross. His best results included a heat race win and a seventh place in a main event.
In a statement from Kawasaki, the rider from Lugo shared his excitement about the transition: ‘Coming to America to race Supercross, Motocross and the SuperMotocross World Championship with Monster Energy Kawasaki is an incredible opportunity. I’ve always admired the level of competition here, and I’m excited to challenge myself against some of the best riders in the world. This is a new chapter in my career, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got, representing a legendary factory like Kawasaki. The passion and intensity of the fans here is unmatched, and I can’t wait to experience that energy’.
