Of the top four in the general classification, three will have changes of environment for the next season and if Marc Márquez remains in the Ducati universe, the new world champion Jorge Martín and Enea Bastianini will go to new teams, Aprilia and GASGAS Tech3 respectively, but the competitiveness of the new champion will remain, believes Bestia.
The Italian, who had an internal battle with the Spaniard for a place at the manufacturer during the last few seasons, praised his opponent’s management in winning the 2024 World Championship, saying: ‘Jorge was very close to perfection during this championship and I am very happy to he because he worked hard to achieve this result and it’s not easy to manage it like he did in this race, it was perfect’.
Bastianini then explained, in a few words, that he maintains his conviction and desire to fight Martín again, and his belief is that the #89 will also be very fast driving the Aprilia RS-GP: ‘I’m happy for him, and I hope fight with him in the future because he will also be fast with the Aprilia’.
It will be possible for both riders to have their first contact tomorrow, in the context of Tests, with the new teams and bikes: Aprilia Racing with Martín and the RS-GP, while Bastianini heads to GASGAS Tech3, where he will have the KTM RC16 as a new motorbike.
