Aprilia has promised to provide Raul Fernández with the most updated version of the RS-GP, but for now, they have not given a date for it, something that doesn’t seem to interest the rider for now.
When asked if there is a timeframe to receive the bike, the Spanish rider made it clear that he currently has no information in that regard, but he is happy to have the 2023 version: ‘Honestly, I don’t know 100% when the new bike will come to me, but what I know is that with the bike I tested in the Valencia tests at the end of the season, I felt very comfortable, I liked it a lot. Something I particularly liked was the front of the bike, it was interesting, and starting the season with that bike will be good for me, not having to think about testing new parts of the bike.’
Nevertheless, he guaranteed that he will do his best with the bike he has at his disposal, and even admitted that thinking about the 2024 bike is something that ‘doesn’t matter’:
– I will try to do my best, and I feel that I will reach the first race of the year with a lot of experience, and that is important to me. Honestly, I’m not thinking about when I will have (the new) bike, it’s something that doesn’t matter. I want to give my all and have fun like I did in the final phase of the last season, do my best.
