After the 45-minute session, Francesco Bagnaia was involved in a peculiar incident during the first free practice of the MotoGP Solidarity GP of Barcelona.
The incident occurred at Turn 1 of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya during practice starts. The Ducati rider was moving at low speed along the main straight when Maverick Viñales approached.
The Aprilia rider miscalculated his pass on the way to Turn 1, making contact with the front of Bagnaia’s bike, causing the Italian to fall.
Fortunately for the championship runner-up, he escaped unscathed, and his bike sustained no significant damage. Nevertheless, it was a notably unusual situation.
