At the heart of this year’s EICMA Show, KTM presented a new proposal that promises to attract adventure bike enthusiasts: the KTM 390 Adventure R 2025. Far from being just a variant of the existing model, this new motorcycle is a completely redesigned machine, designed for off-road adventures and inspired by rally competitions.
The 390 Adventure R stands out for its completely new chassis and bodywork with striking lines, clearly influenced by the Dakar bikes. The front features a raised fender and a vertical screen, while the narrow sides and the elegant rear section reinforce the agile and robust character of the bike. These features are accompanied by an engine inherited from the latest Duke 390, which offers impressive power of around 45 HP.
With a tubular steel frame and a sub-frame specifically designed for this model, the 390 Adventure R combines durability and lightness. As is already a tradition at KTM, the suspensions are signed by WP, ensuring a long wheel travel to face challenging terrains. The 18 and 21-inch wheels consolidate its off-road vocation, allowing excellent performance on demanding trails.
Aesthetically, the bike pays tribute to the KTM 450 Rally, a symbol of success in rally competitions. This competitive spirit is translated into the functionality and bold design of the 390 Adventure R, making it not only a tool for off-road, but also an appealing choice for those seeking adventures without compromises.
The KTM 390 Adventure R 2025 is scheduled to hit the market in the spring of next year. Combining technical innovation and sporting inspiration, it promises to set new standards in the small-displacement segment for adventure motorcycles.
