Jorge Martín moved up to MotoGP with Ducati in 2021, then with Pramac Racing – a team he still represents – and after a controversial separation with KTM, but the one who had no doubts about the rider’s talent was the management of the Italian manufacturer, with Davide Tardozzi to be happy with the choice of Spanish.
With the MotoGP World Championship once again coming to an end and with the rider having more chances than ever of becoming champion, the Team Manager of the Ducati Lenovo Team admitted the #89’s favoritism to TNT Sports by stating: ‘But at the end of the day, again, he is a rider who is growing with Ducati, who will probably win the championship with Ducati’.
Tardozzi also made a point of highlighting that Ducati did a ‘good job’ of prospecting when moving the Spaniard up to the main category: ‘That’s why, in the end, we did a good job choosing him from Moto2 to MotoGP’.
With one round to be played this year in the category Martín leads the classification with a 24 point advantage over Pecco Bagnaia.
