Marco Bezzecchi achieved another top ten at the MotoGP Malaysian GP, finishing ninth. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider started from 14th, thus returning to point-scoring results after missing out in the previous two rounds.
The Italian rider reported that the conditions were particularly tough, making his task much harder, but noted that he still managed to climb in the standings:
– These were the worst conditions of the weekend in terms of temperature. It’s very difficult to ride the bike; as soon as you stay behind someone for more than a lap and a half, your race is destroyed. The tyre pressure starts to rise, the tyre temperature starts to rise, and everything becomes difficult to manage. But I recovered some positions, and that’s it.
Despite being able to work around the issues, Bezzecchi admitted that the sensations on the bike aren’t much different from the tests in Sepang back in February: ‘I can ride a lot more around the problems now, but the feeling I have on the bike is similar’.
