Manuel González was the fastest in the intermediate class practice, in a session marked by many crashes and with two more frightening ones that ended with Jake Dixon and Ayumu Sasaki in the medical center and a red flag; In the restart, little changed and the riders who will go directly to Q2 were thus found.
Jake Dixon was one of the first to lead the session with a lap of 2:06.040s, and he remained there in the following minutes, without anyone beating his time. Deniz Oncu was the most direct opponent, with Jorge Navarro in third.
With 22 minutes to go, it was precisely the session leader who crashed heavily, and he had to be taken to the medical center after many complaints. The rider was carried off the track by the marshals on a stretcher. It should be noted that his right knee and ankle “suffered” a lot, as you can see below.

Note also the fall of Dennis Foggia, which was less impactful and also less problematic for the rider.
Álex Escrig was another rider who crashed, this time at turn 1 and again, without apparent severity or injuries.
This was followed by the usual stop in the garage, before the riders prepared for the final attack on Q2 directly. With about nine minutes on the clock, Sergio García was the next to see the gravel of Sepang more closely, now at turn 15, before the world champion Ai Ogura climbed to second place.
A couple of minutes later, Manuel González climbed to the top of the timesheets with a lap of 2:05.898s, while Filip Salac improved his time and reached second place.
The crashes continued and now it was Ayumu Sasaki who also fell, with a frightening highside, and with that, the red flag, with 2m09s to go.
