Francesco Bagnaia finished the MotoGP Thai GP Practice session in fourth place, just 0.195s behind the fastest, Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati). However, the afternoon session in Buriram was far from easy for the Italian rider.
The Ducati rider spent some time away from the top positions and had to reconfigure his Desmosedici GP24 to be competitive enough in the final minutes.
Team manager Davide Tardozzi told the MotoGP official broadcast that there are no major concerns, as Bagnaia responded well after adjustments to the bike didn’t bring significant improvements:
– It was not too bad. Pecco was very happy with the bike from the beginning this morning. He was trying to improve it. It seems we didn’t find a way to improve it, so we went back to the set-up of this morning, and finally he is with the usual top guys of this year. So, we are pretty confident for tomorrow.
