Enea Bastianini arrives at the MotoGP Thai GP in fourth place in the championship. To keep his podium chances in the World Championship alive, he’ll need to fight for the top positions and outperform Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
The Ducati rider had a tough race in Buriram last season, but he believes he can do better this time – especially since his physical condition is much better compared to 2023:
– We have to check, because last year I suffered a lot, and we have to check better. Now I have much more support, and my physical condition last year wasn’t that good. But now I’m confident I in improving and doing something more this year. We’ve seen that the Friday is very important, and tomorrow will be an important day for me, but I’m ready.
At the moment, Bastianini is still mathematically in the title race, but he could lose his chances after the Thai GP. As for third place, currently held by Márquez, he is 14 points behind.
