Tomorrow, October 22, marks the debut of the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK). The team, which until now was Kawasaki’s official factory team, is transitioning to represent Bimota as the Italian brand’s factory squad.
This move signals Bimota’s return to top-level motorcycle racing. Although the team structure and riders remain unchanged, this shift goes beyond a simple identity swap – the bike itself is new, the Bimota KB998.
On Monday, shortly after the end of the season, riders Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani made their first public appearance donning Bimota’s colors – for now, the ones they will use during testing.
Both the riders’ racing suits and the bike feature predominantly black designs, complemented by red and white accents. Check out the unveiling of the riders’ new look below.
