Nicolò Bulega came out strongest in the Superpole of the World Superbike Championship last round at Jerez. As a result, he will start from pole position in the first race and the Superpole race tomorrow.
Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW) was the first to complete a flying lap, but less than a minute later, he was overtaken by Alex Lowes (Kawasaki), who was then surpassed by Bulega shortly after.
The Italian rider from Aruba.it Ducati held onto the lead and improved about nine minutes later, securing pole position with a time of 1m37.596s. Razgatlioglu improved to take second, but was 0.606s behind. Lowes finished third.
Lining up on the second row will be Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati), Iker Lecuona (Team HRC), and Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha), in that order from fourth to sixth. Last season’s champion, Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Ducati), had a difficult Superpole and could only manage 15th place.
