Enea Bastianini was one of the highlights of today’s Sprint race at Phillip Island. After starting from the fourth row of the grid, he gained positions during the race and was very happy and felt he deserved the position, considering a weekend where he has struggled with some difficulties.
The Italian Ducati rider reacted like this to his podium in parc fermé:
– It hasn’t been an easy weekend for me, starting yesterday but even today I was a bit slow in qualifying. We improved in the Sprint and right from the sighting lap the bike felt better. I think I deserve this third place in the Sprint, it was very nice, and let’s see if we can improve a bit for tomorrow’s race.
