This Sunday’s race at Motegi, the Japanese Grand Prix, had a strange moment shortly after the start, culminating in Joan Mir and Álex Márquez crashing to the ground.
A few seconds after the start, and therefore still during the first lap, the Gresini Racing rider went down and got his bike caught up in the Honda HRC rider’s, with the former world champion ending up dragging the #73’s Ducati Desmosedici into the gravel until he fell himself.
However, even better than trying to explain what happened is to show the video, noting that both riders’ race ended right then and there and neither returned to the track to resume the action.
