Marc Márquez was very happy after finishing the Sprint race at Motegi, counting towards the Japanese GP, after getting another podium finish in third place, and having battled for second place with Enea Bastianini right until the end, which made him happy.
In parc fermé, the Gresini Racing rider spoke about his day, and explained that he was happy with how the Sprint went, although he regretted having been chasing the faster riders for so many laps, but in the end he had fun:
– It was a very good Saturday, especially because I had the speed to attack the times, and ok, everyone knows what happened. I just focused on the Sprint and I knew I had the pace and on the last laps I was really pushing and catching them (the riders in front). It was a great battle with Enea, and it’s true that when you ride behind for many laps the tire temperature goes up and everything becomes more difficult but it was another good battle, a podium, we had fun and the target is there.
