It’s not just rider changes that keep MotoGP “stirring”, and the latest news points to changes at Aprilia and Honda. A rider with many years with the Noale manufacturer believes that the Italian team will ultimately benefit from the latest moves, with the arrival of Fabiano Sterlacchini.
While Romano Albesiano is heading to Honda, just as Aleix Espargaró will, Aprilia announced the hiring of Sterlacchini for the structure, with the former KTM man thus remaining linked to the category.
The ‘Captain’ of Aprilia, as Aleix Espargaró is often called, sees this change as a positive step for the structure: ‘I think Aprilia will benefit. I believe that after the 2022 season, we stagnated a bit. I think Aprilia needed to take, not one step, but two, if it wanted to fight for a world title’.
Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi will make up the Aprilia factory team in 2025, which is another step forward and thinking about the future, as explained by #41, who thus sees Aprilia working positively for what lies ahead in the coming years, praising the work of Massimo Rivola:
– And I think a bit of that has already happened naturally. Another part was thanks to Massimo, who I think is a spectacular CEO. And he did that by hiring two young and very ambitious riders. One of them is the fastest on the grid. Now, with a new technical director who will bring new ideas and who will push all the engineers working in Noale, it’s like adding fuel to the fire. I think Aprilia will have good results.
