Jorge Martín won the MotoGP Indonesian GP, responding in the best way after a crash relegated him to tenth place in Saturday’s Sprint race.
By winning on Sunday in Mandalika, the Prima Pramac rider stopped at the corner where he had crashed the previous day to celebrate, a gesture he commented on: ‘I wasn’t original, because I did the same as Pecco [Bagnaia] in Montmeló after crashing in that corner. Yeah, so I wasn’t really original, but I stopped and I kissed the ground, so it was a bit different’.
In Martín’s view, the feeling of winning after a bad result is different: ‘For sure I think it’s even better when you crash and then you win than when you win both races – because the feeling is like revenge. So it was a good feeling’.
The championship leader also said: ‘Then, with the Indonesian fans was difficult to start again because they were so close, but I am happy that I was able to win it’.
