Loris Veneman secured pole position in the World Supersport 300 Championship at MotorLand Aragón this Friday. This is the third time this season that the rider will start from the front of the entire grid.
The Superpole took place yesterday at the circuit near Alcañiz and was marked by some minor crashes. After the first flying laps, Aldi Satya Mahendra (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) was in the lead until he was surpassed by Julio García González (KOVE Racing Team) about five minutes later.
With practically 20 minutes gone, Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) set the time that earned him pole position: 2m06.300s. The Dutch rider was also one of the competitors who fell during the session. Mahendra improved his time near the end, but the championship leader could only manage second, finishing 0.184s behind.
Galang Hendra Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha) took third place, while the top five was completed by Daniel Mogeda (Team#109 Retro Traffic Kawasaki) and García González, who will share the second row with Marc García (Marc García).
