For the tenth time this season, Adrián Huertas will start from pole position in the Supersport World Championship – this time at MotorLand Aragón, following a tight Superpole session yesterday.
Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati) was the first to set a flying lap, and after Jorge Navarro (Orelac Racing VerdNatura/Ducati) took the top spot, the Italian reclaimed first place.
Then, Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate) took the lead before being overtaken by Huertas. The Aruba.it Ducati rider, who leads the championship, was briefly surpassed by Navarro.
However, in the last five minutes, Huertas delivered a series of quick laps that secured him pole position with a time of 1m52.932s. Veteran Lucas Mahias (GMT94 Yamaha) posed a threat but finished just 0.062s behind. Navarro ended up in third, with Montella fourth ahead of Glenn van Straalen (Pata Ten Kate Yamaha).
