Adrián Huertas once again demonstrated why he leads the World Supersport Championship, securing a clear pole position this Friday in Cremona.
In the first six minutes of the Superpole, Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati) and Valentin Debise (Evan Bros. Yamaha) traded the lead, but after seven minutes, Huertas set the time that earned him pole position.
The Aruba.it Ducati rider clocked a lap of 1m31.478s and, at the time, held almost a one-second advantage. His rivals managed to close the gap, but Stefano Manzi (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate) secured second place, 0.296s behind.
Montella completes the front row of the starting grid in third, with Federico Caricasulo (Motozoo ME AIR Racing/MV Agusta), John McPhee (WRP by SKM-Triumph), and Marcel Schrötter (MV Agusta) lining up in that order on the second row.
