Following Ángel Piqueras in free practice, Adrián Fernández took the lead in Moto3 Practice 1 at the Emilia-Romagna GP, marking a successful Friday for Leopard Racing in Misano.
After the first flying laps, Fernández was already leading, but within the first ten minutes, Iván Ortolá (MT Helmets-MSi/KTM) and Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) also briefly topped the timesheets.
David Alonso (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar) moved into the lead 11 minutes in, improved immediately afterward, and maintained the pace for over 20 minutes. However, Fernández eventually set the fastest lap of the session with a time of 1m41.071s.
Holgado improved to second, just 0.110s behind Fernández, followed by Piqueras and the Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP duo, with Collin Veijer in fourth and Tatsuki Suzuki in fifth. Alonso couldn’t keep up with the fastest riders and finished eighth, 0.244s behind Fernández.
