The V-Strom range is Suzuki’s lineup geared towards off-road riding, and two of the most important models in this family are the Dual Explorers: the V-Strom 1050DE and the V-Strom 800DE.
These are versatile touring/trail motorcycles. The V-Strom 1050DE is equipped with a V-twin engine and various electronic aids. It features an inverted hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable hydraulic monoshock at the rear.
In terms of braking, the system consists of dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, with ABS that includes selectable modes (which can be turned off for the rear wheel). The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission and a bi-directional quickshifter. Additional features include traction control and a five-inch TFT display.
The V-Strom 800DE comes with a new 776cc parallel-twin engine, also coupled with a six-speed gearbox. Its suspension is similar to the 1050DE, with an inverted hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable rear monoshock.
The braking system includes dual front discs and a rear single disc, along with ABS. Like its counterpart, it features traction control and a five-inch TFT instrument panel.
