Pedro Acosta was one of the fastest riders on track most of the time during yesterday’s MotoGP tests in Misano. With a very busy day and a lot to test, the rider made it clear that, although he looks to the future, it is important to understand the present moment.
Having tested the bike that Pol Espargaró has been using, with a different engine, the Spaniard joked about the situation by saying: ‘I tested many things and I don’t know what I tested’, he said with a laugh.
‘We tested many things related to aerodynamics and electronic combinations, because it doesn’t matter if I’m fast on the new bike, if I have to finish the season with the one I have now’, he added.
And he continued, again stating that although he looks to the future, there is a present moment, and a season in full swing: ‘It’s true that we tested many things for next season but also many things that can help us this year and therefore, and it was a good time to reconfirm things we’ve seen since Aragon are coming back’.
The Spaniard, the only rookie in the category in 2024 and who has already secured a promotion to the KTM factory team in 2025, began by explaining that the day was very full: ‘Busy day, with three bikes in the garage and many things to test and many to confirm for this season, it was a long but fruitful day’.
