With just over an hour to go until the end of the first MotoGP test session at Misano, Pedro Acosta is the fastest rider on the track, although that’s not the main objective in testing, most of the times.
With 19 laps, Acosta (GASGAS Tech3) has the most time on track, as well as the best lap so far, in 1:32.044s, ahead of his future teammate Brad Binder (KTM), while Jorge Martín (Pramac) is third, leading the championship even though he only managed to score one point in Sunday’s San Marino GP.
Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) is fourth and continues to be a key player in the Japanese manufacturer’s recovery, and Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) rounds off the top five fastest riders for now.
Among the Aprilia riders, Maverick Viñales is the fastest, in sixth, just 0.063s faster than Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse), who is ahead of yesterday’s third-placed rider, Enea Bastianini (Ducati).
Rounding out the top ten is Johann Zarco (LCR Honda), the best with the Japanese bike, and Augusto Fernández (GASGAS Tech3) – who is not expected to be in MotoGP in 2025, although this has yet to be officially confirmed), is tenth.
Note to Franco Morbidelli, Jack Miller, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Álex and Marc Márquez who, at the time of writing, had not yet recorded a lap in testing.
