Franco Morbidelli reinforced his status as a podium contender for the MotoGP San Marino GP, leading the warm-up session this morning in Misano and once again demonstrating his speed. It’s worth noting that this session is not competitively significant, as the lap times do not count toward the final standings.
The Prima Pramac duo started the warm-up strong, with Morbidelli leading Jorge Martín by 0.387s after the first laps, although many riders lost their lap times due to track limit infringements.
Later, Martín overtook Morbidelli and solidified his position with another attempt. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) moved up to second place, with Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) in third.
In the final minute, Morbidelli regained the lead, ultimately finishing 0.038s ahead of Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
Martín ended up third, just 0.118s behind, followed by Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) and Quartararo completing the top five. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) finished tenth in the session.
