Toprak Razgatlioglu suffered a severe crash during the second free practice session of the World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours on Friday and is now in the hospital.
While the exact details of the ROKiT BMW rider’s condition remain unclear, it is known that he has a back concussion. Razgatlioglu himself took to social media to update his followers: ‘I’m fine now, they’re doing the final checks at the hospital. Thanks everyone, see you soon’.
It remains unclear whether Razgatlioglu will be able to participate in the remainder of the Magny-Cours round. Even if he feels capable, he will need to be re-evaluated before FP3 tomorrow to receive clearance to compete.
Regardless of the outcome, the Turkish rider will leave Magny-Cours leading the championship. His record-breaking streak of victories has put him 92 points ahead of the second-placed rider, Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati).
