Marc Márquez returned to winning in MotoGP nearly three years later. The Gresini rider confirmed his dominance at the Aragon GP, beating Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) by 4.789ds this Sunday at MotorLand Aragón.
The eight-time world champion told the official broadcast: ‘It was an amazing race! Thank you very much Aragon! [editor’s note: he spoke in Spanish, «Muchas gracías Aragón!»]. It’s incredible to win in front of these amazing fans’.
Despite his dominance, Márquez’s race this Sunday was not without its challenges, and even though it didn’t seem necessary, he still had something in reserve:
– Today was a super difficult race, especially because when you have the pace, but then with the gap it was difficult to full focus on the riding – especially in the last ten laps. But, okay, I was able to manage well the gap, I had something more there in the pocket just in case as we’ve seen in the middle of the race. I’m happy, thanks Aragon.
