Brad Binder is currently the oldest rider in the Red Bull KTM ranks, having been with the Austrian manufacturer since his MotoGP debut in 2020. He has already achieved victories and several podiums, but has never been able to compete for the title, just like KTM, with his best final result in a championship being fourth place last year.
When asked by MotoSprint if he believes he can be the rider to lead KTM to victories, the South African responded confidently: ‘Yes, of course, why not? I’ve had enough second places. There’s nothing stopping us. I think we’re in good shape‘.
Throughout his career in the lower categories, Binder faced and beat some of the opponents he now has in MotoGP – where he also believes he can surpass them:
– Today in MotoGP there are riders I competed against my whole life. When I entered the premier class, there were still Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and others that I saw competing for several years. However, today they are just riders I grew up competing against, so it’s all more “normal”. And it’s very beautiful.
