Currently, Daniele Romagnoli is Jorge Martín’s crew chief at Prima Pramac Racing – who, like the rider, despite being with the satellite team, has a direct contract with Ducati.
Martín’s contract ends at the end of this year, and he has already been confirmed at Aprilia for 2025. It remains to be seen what will happen to the engineer, who still holds a valid contract with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
However, according to Motorsport.com, the Italian engineer might also leave with Martín – speculating that he has already been informed by Ducati that his services are not needed for 2025, given that Ducati will have two fewer riders with Pramac moving to Yamaha.
Thus, Romagnoli is a strong candidate to be Martín’s crew chief at Aprilia as well – which, if confirmed, is not unprecedented, as it is not unusual for engineers to follow their riders in team changes.
