Monster Energy Yamaha has already confirmed Fabio Quartararo until the end of 2026, as well as the new satellite team in MotoGP—Prima Pramac Racing. One of the next pieces to fit into the puzzle is Álex Rins’ future, but the renewal may happen soon.
Yamaha’s managing director, Lin Jarvis, spoke on the official championship broadcast about the current efforts to regain lost competitiveness in recent years:
– Luckly with the concessions we’re allowed to do a lot of testing, so that is really, really helpful for us to try new solutions. Our riders try different configurations – I’ve never seen Yamaha having so many variations of engine configuration. […]. We’re just like in the groove now towards making progress, we’re working on everything: aerodynamics we’ve made significant steps, engine changes, we’ve got some other projects coming up in the future that are pretty exciting as well, and having the satellite team is helpful.
The Briton then mentioned Rins’ future: ‘I’m confident that we’ll renew Álex; that is going to happen before too long, I can say I’m pretty confident about that. Things are going in the right direction’.
