Following the Misano round, several World Superbike teams and riders took advantage of their stay in Italy to head to Cremona for two days of testing at the circuit, which is making its debut on this year’s calendar. Toprak Razgatlioglu was the fastest on the first day.
The ROKiT BMW rider, who dominated last weekend with three victories in Misano, clocked the quickest time on Wednesday with a lap of 1m28.578s, beating Axel Bassani (Kawasaki) by nearly a second.
Back in May, another test session was held in Cremona where Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha) set the fastest time. This time, Razgatlioglu surpassed Gardner’s previous benchmark by 0.282s.
Teams and riders from the World Supersport Championship also participated in the tests, with Yari Montella of the Barni Spark Racing Team recording the fastest lap in the category with a time of 1m32.579s.
