The second race of the World Supersport 300 Championship was filled with intense emotions right up to the finish. This Sunday, Aldi Mahendra emerged victorious after a three-way battle that lasted until the final lap.
Alongside the Indonesian rider from Team BrCorse, Jeffrey Buis (Freudenberg KTM-Paligo Racing) and Iñigo Iglesias (Fusport-RT-Motorsport by SKM-Kawasaki) also stood out, with Galang Pratama (ProGP NitiRacing/Yamaha) being a notable contender in the fight.
Leadership changes were constant throughout the 12 laps, including multiple overtakes between Buis and Iglesias in the final lap. In the last corner, Mahendra capitalized on their contest to take the lead.
This marks his second victory, defeating Buis by 0.102s. Iglesias completed the podium just 0.128s behind, almost a photo finish: Pratama was fourth, a mere thousandth of a second behind the Spaniard. The top five was rounded off by Marco Gaggi (Team BrCorse/Yamaha). After a win and a third-place finish, Iglesias leads the championship by just 12 points ahead of Mahendra.
