Pedro Acosta is one of the most talented riders of the new generation and arrives this year in MotoGP with a lot to promise. At the moment, he is linked to KTM, making his debut in the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 satellite team.
The newspaper Marca asked Pol Espargaró about whether he believes in a long stay for the young rider with the Austrian manufacturer. In his response, #44 stated: ‘I would like him to stay at KTM. We can’t let such talent slip away. I think Pedro also wants to stay, but it is evident that it depends on the results working out at KTM and GasGas, that GasGas or KTM work well, and that gives him the understanding that he can also achieve it’.
In Espargaró’s view, Brad Binder could show that potential to Acosta: ‘Perhaps Brad Binder has that role, he is a great rider and is in the best moment of maturity, and if he is capable of getting results, Pedro can say to himself: “Well, if Brad is capable, I can too,” and then he can follow in their footsteps, perhaps in the KTM team if one of the two leaves, in that case it would have to be Jack Miller because Brad has a contract until 2026, but I would like him to stay’.
