Marc Márquez already knows his future in MotoGP, having signed with Ducati for 2025 and 2026. When this contract ends, the eight-time world champion will be 33 years old, but hopes to continue for longer.
According to the website GPOne.com, the Spaniard told SPEEDWEEK.com that he intends to stay in MotoGP, possibly until 2028, when he will be 35 years old:
“You never know, but I hope it’s not the last of my career. When I feel competitive, I know I can finish in the top six. However, to be able to win the title, it’s necessary to have all the useful tools, just like the puzzle pieces have to fit together, and currently that’s not the case. But, as I said, I would like to stay beyond 2026, maybe two more years.”
If he can fulfill his current intentions, Márquez will compete in the first two years of the future regulations. Until then, what is already certain is that he will have two seasons with Ducati, in which he will try to return to the titles and equal or even surpass the number of achievements of one of the great rivals he had in his career: Valentino Rossi.
