Miguel Oliveira is struggling in the early stages aboard the 2024 Aprilia RS-GP. The Trackhouse Racing man finished only 21st on the first day of testing in Losail, admitting that he lacks performance in the corners.
When asked if his current problems resemble some of the complaints he had with the KTM where he asked for more turning, the Almada rider clarified that the situation is different:
– Ultimately, it was different because we were able to compensate with the throttle. At least there was room, but you could recover in some way. But with this bike, it actually turns very well, with a lot of speed, but you need to be in a good position in the corner, and you need to do it correctly – otherwise, you will widen. And right now, this is the main problem for me. With the 2022 bike, I was immediately faster in the fast section compared to the other Aprilias.
