Thanks to the new wildcard regulations, KTM will be able to make up to six wildcards throughout the 2024 MotoGP season. In recent years, the Austrian manufacturer has taken advantage of some opportunities, and this year it will have two very capable test riders for occasional participations – Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró.
However, team manager Francesco Guidotti hinted that they may not use all the available wildcards. For now, he assured that plans are still being made:
– Six wildcards is what we can potentially do, but I can’t see… six wildcards is really a lot, it’s something we can do, but we will never do. We are planning some with Pol and Dani, but we haven’t established anything yet. We will do it soon.
