Aprilia is taking the first steps towards a carbon fiber frame for its MotoGP bike. Despite the tests already carried out on the track, including the November test in Valencia, this is not a priority solution for next year.
That’s what test rider Lorenzo Savadori assured, who, quoted by Crash.net, explained that the component is still being tested in a phase of collecting information about its strengths and weaknesses:
– Carbon fiber is not our priority for 2024, we are only testing to analyze some information and receive new information. But we are focused on another direction. It’s the beginning [of the project]. We started using it this summer and we need to test more. We need to better understand some things in the frame, it has some positive aspects and there are also negatives. But right now it’s not a priority for Aprilia.
