Marc Márquez left the Repsol Honda Team at the end of 2023 but in his last season with the team – at a time when he had not yet made the decision to leave – he stood out again, this time in Portugal.
At the season opener at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the Spaniard did not have the best qualification and had to stay in Q1, but there he secured Q2, later conquering the pole position.
