Toprak Razgatlioglu is on an impressive streak of ten consecutive victories in the World Superbike Championship. Since the second main race in Assen, the ROKiT BMW rider always finishes in the highest position on the podium.
In addition to this sequence of results propelling him to the top of the championship, it also brings him very close to establishing the record for consecutive victories: he needs two more to achieve it.
So far, the best any rider has achieved is winning 11 races in a row: Jonathan Rea in 2018 and Álvaro Bautista in 2019 and 2023 (on these two occasions, after the introduction of the Superpole races).
Therefore, if Razgatlioglu wins the first race and the Superpole race in Portimão next August, he will go down in history as the holder of the highest number of consecutive triumphs in the WSBK in the same season.
On the other hand, the Turkish rider could even be the rider with the most victories in a single season. The record, held by Bautista since last year, is 27. Currently, Razgatlioglu has already won 12 races in 2024, needing to win another 16 out of the remaining 18 to be contested.
