Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan were the big winners of the Ironman National MX 250 race, which took place this weekend and marked the end of the season for the category.
With the title already secured, all eyes were on the battle for second place, with Levi Kitchen holding the position but with Vialle within reach to try and take it away. Things couldn’t have gone better for the Frenchman: he won the first race and beat Kitchen, who finished second, while Jordon Smith came in third. RJ Hampshire and Ty Masterpool rounded out the top five, respectively.
In the second race, the winner was the main figure of the year, who ended the season on a high note: Haiden Deegan. Chance Hymas finished second and Hampshire third, while Vialle finished in fourth place and Ryder DiFrancesco finished in fifth position.
Kitchen had bad luck and fell, definitively “handing over” the second place to Vialle, who ended up earning the most points of the day, 43. Hymas and Hampshire both earned 38 points, with Deegan taking 36 and Smith 34.
With this score, Vialle moved up to second place in the overall standings, and Kitchen finished the year in third.
