Tony Cairoli is making his return to the MXGP Motocross World Championship, with Ducati making its debut in the championship on August 17th and 18th at the MXGP of the Netherlands in Arnhem – in what is a wildcard participation.
The Borgo Panigale manufacturer started its motocross project last year, and this year it is developing the bike by participating in the Italian championship – where it is currently fighting for the title with Alessandro Lupino leading at the moment.
Cairoli’s participation in Arnhem is another important milestone in Ducati’s program, which will now for the first time put the Desmo450 on par with the competition it will encounter in the MXGP in 2025.
But the work, of course, does not end there. After the MXGP of the Netherlands, Ducati will once again focus on the Italian championship, with the round in Castiglione del Lago scheduled for August 31st and September 1st.
