Skyler Howes left Husqvarna a few months ago and now his future has been confirmed: he will represent Monster Energy Honda, joining a wide range of riders: Adrien van Beveren, José Ignacio Cornejo, Pablo Quintanilla, and Ricky Brabec.
The American has been making a name for himself in recent years, as was the case with his third-place finish in this year’s Dakar. Howes has been a professional since 2012, but his first title was in 2008 as the USRA 125 Desert Champion.
Rúben Faria, general manager of Monster Energy Honda, stated in a press release: ‘We are very pleased to welcome Skyler. He is a young rider, but very experienced in rallies – he was third in the last Dakar and won in Morocco. He is very versatile and fast off-road. With him, we have a great team for Dakar 2024 and I am sure that Skyler will help us be at the front of the standings‘.
