During an interview with the official championship website, the Italian stated that it was a satisfactory season, in which improvements were clear, allowing the manufacturer to keep up with the pace of evolution of the rest of the pack:
– I’m happy from the start, I would say. We started off with good results in Portimão and throughout the season we had many podiums – some wins in Sprint races. The improvement is clear and that’s what we were looking for this year. Most of the races this year were much faster than last year, which means the level is increasing. We’re there, so that means maybe we’re the manufacturer that has recovered more than the others.-
