Francesco Bagnaia is once again competing for the MotoGP title, but in 2023 the situation is not the same as in 2022. The Ducati rider now has fellow constructor colleagues as his main rivals – although they are from other teams – while last year the competition was with Fabio Quartararo, from Monster Energy Yamaha.
Asked in a press conference about how different it is to discuss the title with fellow constructor riders and not others, the Italian replied:
– The best thing is that no one can say we have team orders. Last year it was something that was talked about several times. This is the best aspect. And fighting with other Ducatis also means that if you are competitive, your main rivals also know where you are making the difference. It’s good for Ducati, of course, to have three riders at the front. But I still prefer it this way because it’s more challenging.
