Francesco Bagnaia was the big winner of the third edition of the Lenovo Race of Champions, which took place yesterday. The race had some moments of drama, mainly with Nicolò Bulega and Bagnaia’s future teammate, Marc Márquez, but that didn’t affect the two-time world champion, who just focused on pushing the pace.
Also leading the MotoGP standings, the Italian was very happy to see the World Ducati Week event with so many people, especially in the race: ‘First of all, I want to say that it was fantastic to see so many people in the stands. I could even hear people applauding, despite having my helmet on during the race; it was truly amazing’.
As for the action itself, Bagnaia had a lot of fun and just wanted to give his all on his bike:
– The race was great, I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t tell what the difference was, so I pushed myself a lot and had a lot of fun. I’m very happy to have tried the new Panigale V4 here in Misano and I’m looking forward to training with it from now on.
