Miguel Oliveira was eliminated in the first phase of MotoGP Qatar GP qualifying, starting from 14th. The Trackhouse Racing rider even briefly became the fastest, but only managed to finish fourth in Q1.
With his first flying lap, #88 reached the top of the timesheet, but soon returned to the pits and dropped to third. Despite improving upon his return to the track, Oliveira remained in third place.
By not improving on his final lap, the Portuguese rider ended up dropping to fourth, which means he will start from 14th. His teammate, Raúl Fernández, led Q1 and will be fighting for a top 12 qualifying position.
