Miguel Oliveira left Mugello with only two points. The pilot from Almada reached 14th place in the main race of the Italian MotoGP GP this Sunday, where he was the least well classified among the four Aprilia regular riders.
Once again, the start was not good for the Portuguese, who lost four positions on the first lap, ending up in 15th place behind his Trackhouse Racing teammate, Raúl Fernández. He regained a position on the next lap, but only briefly.
It was between 15th and 14th place that Oliveira stabilized in the following laps. He managed to close in on the 13th placed rider, Álex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha), before overtaking him on lap 10.
Thus, #88 found himself immediately behind Fernández again. Oliveira spent a good part of the race in 13th place. He gradually approached the Spanish rider, but a mistake led him to lose position to Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46/Ducati) on lap 19.
Until the end, Oliveira was unable to react or keep up with Bezzecchi, finishing in 14th place.
