After a difficult start to the season, Marco Bezzecchi hopes to return to top form at the Portuguese GP this weekend. The Italian considers the Portuguese track to be a double-edged sword, as the circuit is ‘complicated, physically demanding’, but also ‘very fun’, nonetheless, his goals are clear: to get closer to the group of fastest riders.
In a team statement, the Italian gave his preview of the weekend saying: ‘Portimão is truly one of the most beautiful tracks on the calendar. Complicated, physically demanding, but at the same time very fun. Last year I was fast here, this year we are struggling a bit more, but I am pleased with the progress made during the race weekend in Qatar’.
And he continued, expressing what his goals are: ‘With the whole team, we will continue to work, especially on braking. The goal is to get closer to the fastest group and have fun on this particular track’.
En 2023, le pilote n’a pas eu un bon début de saison – c’était le premier Grand Prix de l’année – en se crashant après deux tours au Portugal, terminant troisième dans la course principale le dimanche.
