Two of the most talked-about riders in the early MotoGP season are Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta, for different reasons. And both made a good impression in the first free practice of the Qatar GP at Losail.
The two Spaniards even took the lead of the session for a few moments and finished in the top five: the promising Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM), in his first MotoGP practice, was third just 0.071s behind leader Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
As for Márquez, taking his first steps with Gresini and the Ducati Desmosedici GP23, he also fought for top positions and finished fourth. The six-time world champion in the premier class was 0.177s off the top and was the second best Ducati rider, just behind Martín.
